You can’t stop at one, even though you know the creamy sweet icing and moist cake is a special treat. Nothing Bundt Cakes in Burlington, Ontario (3350 Fairview St) is the first Canadian location of the popular US-based chain specializing in bundt cakes that come in a variety of sizes and flavours.
Paired with a cup of coffee or tea, these are a new favourite dessert to enjoy on your own, when entertaining guests or celebrating a birthday/special occasion.
We got a special sample delivery to try out via the company’s Canadian PR team. My husband’s reaction was priceless – “Oh my God…. these are soooo good,” he said as he was licking the icing off his mouth.
We tried several bundt cakes: a red velvet, lemon, carrot and chocolate chocolate chip. All were so yummy, that we couldn’t choose one as a favourite.
Morgen and T-Jay Shwetz, family members of one of the original founders (Debbie Shwetz and Dena Tripp) decided to open the first location in Burlington, Ontario. Lucky us!
The bakery focuses on handcrafted recipes for scrumptious, ready-to-eat cakes as well as customized gift cake options for special occasions. For example, we will be ordering several dozen baptism-themed cakes for our son’s upcoming baptism lunch reception.
The store also includes gift items, so it’s a one-stop shop when purchasing items for special occasions or birthdays. Very convenient!
The grand opening is on September 15th (but you can head over to Nothing Bundt Cakes now to satisfy your sweet tooth.
I’m wrapping up this post so that I can enjoy the last one of the batch that we got to try out. Thank you Hype PR and Nothing Bundt Cakes for making our weekend such a sweet one!
