Sometimes the best photos are taken on a early morning walk on a quiet beach, with other fitness-minded folks strolling on the sand. This photo was taken just at sunrise at Bozo Beach in Cabarete, Dominican Republic.
It links Kite Beach – a popular area for kiteboarders – with the main beach area in the town of Cabarate, and is a quieter spot with mostly a few small hotels and kite-boarding schools. It’s the main bay in the area with fine, light brown sand.
The best hour to walk here is at about 7:30 a.m., when the sun is just rising over the horizon, creating a beautiful warm glow on the scene when looking westwards. Sunglasses are a must on sunny days as the sunshine hits you if you are walking towards Cabarete.
Tip: Keep an eye out for fresh, small seashells along the shoreline that have been brought in on the tide.
