Amsterdam in the spring is supposedly very lovely, with tulips and other flowers blooming and greenery everywhere. However, Amsterdam in the fall season also has its own charm. The golden leaves are everywhere in the canals after a strong wind or rainstorm, like in this photo that I took while playing tourist in 2011.
Others Places to Visit
Areas beyond the historic canals also illustrate the beauty of the city. Vondelpark, the nearby Museumplein as well as De Hortus Botanicus Amsterdam (the botanical gardens) are three other spots to visit to see the beauty of Amsterdam in the fall.
This photo was taken in early November 2011 during my memorable first time exploring Amsterdam.
