The message is very timely for the poor Londoners who have to deal with crowds converging on their city for the Olympics.
We know getting around London during rush hour is not easy – Frank and I learned this the hard way the first day we arrived and headed to Victoria Underground Station to grab the train. With the Olympic hordes, we can imagine it is true chaos.
And so, Tourism Ireland has developed this funny comparison of what it would be like if you escaped to Ireland (you get to enjoy a nice pint or two of Guinness while enjoying relaxing views) or if you remained in town, trying to get to work (mayhem, tourists, traffic… you get the picture).
If I was a Londoner, I’d be certainly escaping to Ireland for the duration of the Olympics!
Note: If you aren’t a UK citizen, you will need a passport to fly to Ireland.
