The Power Of Tea: Teaology Face Mask Review
Tea has long been considered very healthy for the skin. When used topically and when ingested for hydration, tea is so good for the skin. So when I had a chance to do a Teaology Face Mask review, I didn’t decline the opportunity.
Teaology launched in Canada with its online shop and retail offerings in 2018. When I received the email pitch from the PR rep for the Matcha Face and Neck Mask, I was intrigued. I had just finished checking out another Canadian organic skincare line and was keen on finding out what else is out there for great skin. So, I received a sample of the Teaology Matcha Tea Miracle Face And Neck Mask, containing real Matcha Tea infusion, argan oil and Omega 6.

Tea-Infused Skincare Products Made In Italy
Teaology products are made in Italy, using natural, sustainable ingredients. As such, there are no harmful ingredients such as parabens or synthetic dyes and so on. This is one of the reasons why I was so keen to do this Teaology Face Mask review.
Teaology takes the amazing properties of tea – the more than 30% polyphenols, Vitamins C, A, B, F, K, amino acids, enzymes, flavonoids, minerals (potassium, fluorine, zinc, magnesium, manganese) tannins and caffeine – and infuses it in its skincare line.
The company goes beyond face masks into oils, perfumes, scrubs, bath salts and creams.
What makes Teaology unique is the use of active ingredients of different types of tea, through the infusion process. The result is a concentration of antioxidant polyphenols that are so good for our skin.
Teaology is the only skincare brand that uses 100% tea infusion instead of water for its face mask.
Teaology uses five different tea types: green tea, white tea, black tea, blue tea, and Matcha tea. The last one is a Japanese green tea with organoleptic properties. In other words, it involves the sense organs.
For this Teaology Face Mask review, I reviewed the one with Matcha tea. So I was expecting to have my senses engaged!
Teaology Matcha Tea Face And Neck Mask
So what makes it so special?
The Teaology Matcha Tea Face Mask and Neck Mask includes a special fabric infused with Matcha Tea. It helps with the absorption of the active ingredient. These are the antioxidant polyphenols, the Argan oil that helps moisturize and the cantella- and bioflavonoid-based plant complex that helps plump and tone the skin.
Teaology claims that after about 10 minutes, small wrinkles and signs of dehydration disappear and the skin is toned and smoother.
For this Teaology Face Mask review, I followed the instructions closely:
- Apply the face mask to a clean face and neck.
- Relax and leave it on for 10 to 20 minutes.
- Remove the mask and massage any excess serum into the skin.
My Experience With The Teaology Matcha Tea Face Mask
So what was the result of my Teaology face mask review?
I decided to take a quick 10 minute Mom Me Time break. My son was enjoying a few minutes of watching his favourite show on his iPad. So I quickly washed my face, patted it dry and placed the mask on my face.
The scent is lovely and soothing. Senses engaged!
The feeling of the mask on my face is cool and relaxing. Senses engaged again!
The only thing that I found a bit difficult was the size of the mask. It’s large and doesn’t stick too well to my face. I had to smooth it over my face and neck a few times. I ended up letting gravity help by laying down on my bed for a few minutes.
The other thing that I noted was that you should wear an old T-shirt or towel around your upper chest as the tea mixture might drip onto your clothes.
At the end of it all, my face did seem to feel a bit more toned and softer to the touch. It glowed with freshness. This is something I really like about this face mask. I couldn’t notice any great difference in the wrinkles, but overall the face mask does what it’s supposed to.
Would I purchase a Teaology Matcha Tea Face and Neck Mask again? I probably would. I like to occasionally give my face a little bit of love and care. After all, it’s exposed to the environment all the time and we always need to put our best face forward!

This was so much fun to read. the mask reminds me of a Japanese face mask my friend bought—it kept my kids away because mommy looked funny.
