LASPA Sunscreen Review: Natural Skin Protection
Can I tell you how excited I am that Spring is finally here in Southern Ontario? I love getting outside, but unfortunately, I’ve inherited fair Eastern European skin. This means I get burned fast. And so I’m very excited to do a LASPA Sunscreen review.
Not only do I burn easily but I also have sensitive skin. This means I’m always hesitant to put chemical-heavy moisturizers and sunscreen products on my face. I inevitably get pink. It’s also why I’m always looking for natural skincare products.
Canadian-Made LASPA Sunscreen
I may have found a new solution. LASPA Sunscreen is made of 100% natural ingredients. It comes in two products – the LASPA SPF 30 Moisturizing Mineral Sunscreen for the face and neck, and LASPA SPF 20 Daily Sun Protection for face and body.
Clinically tested, these sunscreens are made from plant-based ingredients, minerals (Zinc) and essential oils (e.g. coconut oil). They are hypoallergenic and free of paraben, gluten and nut ingredients.
Unlike many others that have chemicals that require at least 20 minutes to penetrate into your skin, LASPA uses Zinc to protect your skin from UVA and UVB rays. It’s ideal as it provides broad protection while many chemical ingredients do not. It also doesn’t cause skin irritations.
I tried it a few times including when walking with the kiddo and once when doing some heavy-duty manual labour in the garden. In both cases I was impressed as I barely saw any pink on my skin after a few hours of being outside.
LASPA Sunscreen Review
So I did a little video review… bear with me, it’s my first ever. Be kind!
A few things I love about LASPA Sunscreen SPF 30 and SPF20:
- I can put it on and head outside immediately. No waiting for 20 minutes before it takes effect.
- It goes on fairly easily but doesn’t remain greasy
- My skin feels smoother (the SPF 20 has organic coconut oil and Vitamin E) with it on
- It works very well at protecting my skin from burning (had it on for about 4 hours while gardening outside before I started to see a light pink on my skin)
- It comes off easily with a bit of soap
- A little will go a long way with this formula
- It fades when you blend it in to your skin – no white residue
- Because the light scent fades, you don’t attract bugs
The only thing I’m not too keen on is the light mineral scent that you get initially. It’s non-fragran with a slight smell to it. Nevertheless, it’s still acceptable and it fades pretty quickly. It’s not overly bad when you do apply it. You just have to remind yourself that you are putting something mineral-based and healthier for you than the alternative.
A Canadian-made product, LASPA Moisturizing Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 ($40) and LASPA Daily Sun Protection Mineral Sunscreen SPS 20 ($44) are available at beautysense.ca, as well as at leading spas and resorts across Canada.
Will I Buy LASPA Sunscreen Again?
Definitely yes. This works for my sensitive skin and may even work for my son’s skin as well. Anything that’s natural and works is worth the cost.

PIN THIS!
Oh I definitely need to try this. I have such sensitive skin and sunscreen is rough on it!
I love finding new sunscreens!! My skin is soooo pale and the thought of skin cancer scares the crap out of me haha so I take it very seriously. I’ll have to try this one out!
Now that I’ve been living in Texas the past few years, sunscreen has been so much more important to me. I love finding high-quality lotions with spf built in already. It’s hard to find some that don’t have that greasy feeling though. Good thing this one doesn’t!
I am always looking for new sunscreens! I will be on the lookout for this brand for sure.
