I’ve been in a lipstick rut. Change is good, right ladies? And what better way than with a new lipstick. Since I’m gravitating towards natural products these days, I picked up a brand that’s fairly new to Canada. And because it’s so good, I had to share with you my Nude by Nature lipstick review.

My favourite shades have always been neutral pinks and lighter colours that accent my lips without making them look clownish. Very few darker shades work with my skin tone.  My face just doesn’t look good with bright red lipstick. So I picked up the Dusty Rose, Nude by Nature Moisture Shine Lipstick ($23, Shoppers Drugmart).

Disclosure: This product was purchased by me with no compensation from the brand or retailer. All opinions are based on my experience.

And I fell in love with it!

Nude by Nature is an Australian brand that believes in using natural ingredients to make cruelty-free makeup that works with your skin. They don’t add any unnecessary chemicals, synthetic ingredients or preservatives to their products.

As I’ve been focusing on healthier skincare products this year, Nude by Nature is an ideal addition to my makeup bag.

Nude by Nature Lipstick Review: Highlights

Nude by Nature lipstick review
I went make-up free with the exception of the Nude by Nature lipstick.

Nude by Nature plays on the “nude” part with a selection of light pink, beige, and earthy nude lipstick colours that are perfect for everyday wear.

The Nude by Nature Moisture Shine lipstick is what I consider a everyday wear lipstick. It’s what you put on when you’re going shopping or out for lunch and want to look put together.

There are a few things that I really love about Nude by Nature lipstick:

  • The lipstick glides on smoothly on the lips. It’s like wrapping my lips in silk.
  • The scent is lovely. It’s a lipstick that I enjoy to wear, with the pretty scent tickling my nose.
  • The colour is gorgeous and applies easily on my lips.
  • It stays put on my lips for several hours, unless I eat or drink something.
  • Most importantly, it’s made with ingredients such as Vitamin E and Australian Kakadu Plum (antioxidant defense).

Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but when you find something really good that works well, it’s worth the splurge occasionally!

Where To Buy

So you’re convinced to try after reading my Nude by Nature lipstick review. Right now, the only way to purchase Nude by Nature is at Shoppers Drugmart in Canada. The lipstick is in the mid-range for price point, but it’s worth it based on the ingredients alone.

Would I purchase Nude by Nature Moisture Shine lipstick again? Definitely yes!

QUESTION: Do you have a favourite lipstick colour that you always purchase?

  1. Have you tried any of their other makeup products? I’m looking to switch to products that are more ‘clean’ – just curious what you’ve found that you like beyond the lipstick.

  2. I beg to differ that you can’t pull off red lipstick. I actually challenge you to do so. I think red would look great on you. And I never heard about this brand. Thanks!

  3. Nude lip and nude nails are my favorite right now! Love this so much!

  4. Everytime I see the end-cap for this brand at Shoppers, I think to myself, “I should really try this out.” Yet, I never do, LOL. I love the look of this lipstick, though. And that might be my entry to the brand. Love the colour on you!
