NEW Inglis Falls Owen Sound Ontario - Travel Photo: Inglis Falls, near Owen Sound, Ontario

Located south of Owen Sound, Ontario, the 18 metre high cascade falls of Inglis Falls are a must-see when visiting the area. The best time to visit is after a heavier rain fall, however, even with a smaller water flow they can be very impressive.

Nearby, you can find the remains of a historical grist mill and access to the Bruce Trail. This area is right by the Niagara Escarpment and is part of the picturesque Grey County.

Inglis Falls in the winter is completely covered in snow and ice – and even in a deep freeze, there’s the rush of water. We’ve seen not-too-smart people walk over the ice shelf that grows over the river at the base of the falls. We highly recommend that you don’t do this for safety reasons.

Looks like a great place to take a tripod and camera and practice slowing down my shutter speeds.
